Minimum rates of wages are fixed/revised by the State Govt. under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 for different schedule employments & if your factory is also covered under any of these employments then you are to implement those rates of wages as shown against that employment. Plz go through the minimum rates of wages notification issued by your appropriate Govt. in respect of your schedule employment & see whether any bifurcation in these rates are allowed or not & if allowed under which of the heads. Rates of wages remains the same for direct & indirect employment of workers.
