Take Form 13, which is for the transfer of the old PF account to the new account. Also, ask him to fill Form 2 (nomination & declaration in the new company) and submit the same with his contribution to RPFC.

If he has been allotted a Social Security Number by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation, that number can be retained. For a centralized pay system wherein an employee's pay is released in Hyderabad, and contributions are deducted and deposited there but transferred to the Delhi office of the same organization, the number will still be retained. However, if these two establishments have different PF numbers, then the number will change.

The EPF account number has prefixes such as the Regional Code (indicating the region where the establishment is located) and an establishment code (representing where an employee works), which will be common to all employees under such an establishment. Upon assuming duties in Delhi, he will be allocated a new number. However, his past PF accumulations can be transferred to the new account by submitting Form 13, duly signed by the current employer.

Form 13 is required to be sent for payment of PF challan. You can use either the same challan or computer-generated challans. The crucial point is that the payment must be made into the PF Organisation's account, which can be facilitated by State Bank through its clearing system. Naturally, banks will not accept cheques intended for a different location.

Hi,

Our security company is registered in Delhi. We have a PF code from Delhi. If we have a contract in Noida (where the minimum wages are different from Delhi), do we have to apply for a new PF code in Noida, or will our previous Delhi PF code suffice?

Thank you in anticipation.
