Dear Friends,
I am sharing herewith TDs calculation workbook in Excel created by me, which can be used for the calculation of TDs on salaries.
Following points to be noted while using this Excel workbook:
1. You need to enable macros as there are a few customized functions in VBA.
2. Monthly data to be updated every month.
3. Range named "BM" stores the number of balance months (to be updated every month once monthly data is updated).
4. Pivot table to be refreshed after updating monthly data.
5. Employees' names to be updated in the data sheet once. (EPF No is a key criterion which captures data from the pivot table. So, EPF no must be entered in the monthly data sheet).
6. The report sheet will provide you the IT calculation summary for the year 2008-09. Please change the employee serial no for getting an appropriate report.
7. Modify the sheet accordingly if required (password to open/sheets is "admin").
8. You may modify the VBA function for modifying income tax on gross total income from salary.
9. This will be helpful where monthly taxable salary varies (changes in performance incentives, etc.).

Do mail me if you need any help in using this Excel sheet. It will be helpful if you are handling more than 25 employees and if salaries vary month to month, such as incentives, bonuses, or LTC, etc. You may go through the guidelines provided in my original post.
The workbook is not protected at all. If you have a basic knowledge of VB, you can modify the income tax calculation function as needed.

Ramesh Shetty
