I am working as an HR Executive in corporate HR and am supposed to look after all the statutory compliance along with the HR activities. I require help regarding the "List of Registers" that need to be maintained under the Factories Act.

Dear Vipla,

Registers are required to be kept according to the State Factory Rules; therefore, go through the relevant rules of the State where the unit is functioning for which you are to look after the work of Factory Act compliances. You can also take help from your seniors.

Dear Sangamesh,

The formats of registers are provided in the Rules of different Acts applicable to your unit. If you are covered under all four Acts as mentioned, please refer to the central Rules on the ESI & PF Act, as well as your State's applicable Rules on the Contract Labour (R & A) Act and Factories Act for the formats required to maintain the registers.
