The causes of poor industrial relations are as follows:

1. Lack of credibility on the part of management.
2. Poor or lack of communication.
3. Lack of fair play and transparency on the part of management.
4. Lack of professional freedom for HR/IR managers.
5. Unresolved grievances or delayed redressal of grievances.
6. Lack of respect and regard for the workforce.
7. Creating groups to overcome crises without realizing their long-term implications on industrial relations.
8. Lack of bilateral and effective mechanisms to deal with issues and problems.
