Could you please help me in deciding what is the status of Casual Leave, Sick Leave, and Privilege Leave entitlement for employees in the corporate office?
Here are the corrected details of the eligible leave available under the Kerala Shops and Commercial Estt. Act:
LEAVE:
Employees are eligible for leave as follows:
i. Annual leave for 12 days with wages for employees after completion of 12 months of continuous service.
ii. Leave with wages not exceeding twelve days on the grounds of any sickness or accident sustained by the employee.
iii. Casual leave with wages not exceeding twelve days.
iv. Six days of special casual leave for sterilization operation in the case of male employees and 14 days for female employees, subject to the provisions of the Act.
If your area, where your corporate office is located, is covered under the Bombay Shops & Establishment Act, then you are required to grant these leaves under this particular Act.
