In Kerala, Maharashtra, and many other states, the Standing Order is mandatory for companies employing 50 or more workers.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

In the state of Haryana, companies employing 50 or more workers are covered under the Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946.

Can you confirm the applicability for Uttar Pradesh? The labor department mentioned something about 20.

In the state of UP, the prescribed number is 20. I would also like to suggest that your company should have its own SO, in full agreement with the Kritarth Team. You will have your own well-defined Service Rules, and definite avenues will be open to you for building a healthy industrial relations culture. The administration of SO is a subject matter of the respective states. You will find that the number requirement varies from State to State Certification.
