I have joined a company as HR and I have created all the necessary formats such as the experience letter, relieving letter, appointment letter, full and final settlement, etc., as there was no HR function before. Now, I am wondering what my next steps should be. Kindly suggest how I can contribute to the welfare of the company by coming up with good ideas. Please do give me your suggestions; I am eager to learn.

What is the nature of your industry? What is your product or service? Duties of HR depend on the nature of the industry. HR can do a lot in the company. What you have written is very basic and belongs to the duties of the erstwhile Personnel Management. I am working in a group of companies where there is a hospital, an academy, a coworking space company wherein they provide space to investors, freelancers, and startups, etc. I am the only HR for the whole group.
