How Do You Handle LTA and Medical Reimbursement Benefits Across Different Years?

In our CTC components, we have LTA and Medical reimbursement. As we know, for LTA, we are considering the Calendar year, and for Medical, we are considering the Financial Year. My question is, what should be the standard procedure for taking benefit of these components?

As a matter of fact, the LTA is applicable for every year or block of two years. You can claim the same up to 31 Mar 2012 for the period from 01/01/2010 to 31/12/2011. For 2012, you have to claim separately after 01 Apr 2012.
