Can Employees Withdraw Gratuity While Still Working? Seeking Advice on the Process

naziyasm@gmail.com
Dear Experts, kindly suggest if an employee can withdraw his gratuity while working. If yes, what is the procedure?

Thank you.

We do not find any such provision under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.

Gratuity Eligibility Conditions

The gratuity is payable only upon attaining the age of superannuation, on retirement, on leaving the services of a particular employer, and that too after the completion of 5 years of continuous service, or in the case of death.

If your service falls within any of the above conditions, you will certainly be eligible for the gratuity; otherwise, not.
