Dear Zuni,
Statutory Compliance means adhering to and maintaining the requirements set by the Government or local bodies. For instance, if the police authorities instruct you in writing to maintain and submit a copy of the workforce details in soft copy, it is considered a Statutory Obligation. Contributions such as PF, ESI, and Welfare fund remittances to the Government are also part of Statutory Compliance. This includes timely payment of wages to workers, adhering to the Minimum Wages set by the Government, payment of bonuses, notice pay upon relieving, retrenchment compensation, gratuity, PF, pension, and leave—all of which are clearly defined by the Government. Hence, all of the above form part of Statutory Compliance.
I am unable to understand in which aspect you want to acquire knowledge about Statutory Compliance.
With warm regards,
S. Bhaskar
