Company Policies Overview

Normally, a company has many policies, starting from the dress code policy to the sexual harassment policy. One can start a startup with this.

Human Resource Manual Essentials

Start with a Human Resource Manual. The manual should contain at least the following information:

1. Working hours per week
2. Working style - work from home/shift timings, etc.
3. Leaves - casual/sick/earned leaves
4. Appraisal System including career progression, succession planning
5. Organizational Structure
6. Orientation
7. Who's who in the company
8. All formats required to be filled
9. Reimbursement details
10. Travel directives, entitlement

Get it peer-reviewed and then present the same to the strategic management for vetting and approval. Once this is done, then deal with statutory requirements including medical/PF/IT, etc.

There are other things to be followed as well. In case of any ambiguity, please email at [Email Removed For Privacy Reasons].

Dear all, I have been receiving many queries asking me to forward the policies. I am sorry to all for not being able to send them, as I am not allowed to disclose them due to a non-disclosure agreement. Please accept my apology.

Dear Mr. Salahudeen,

I have been assigned to prepare an HR Policy for our company. I am working with an IT company in Bangalore, and upon checking over the internet, I found a list of content provided by you that seems to be good enough for my purpose with a few modifications here and there. Could I please get a copy of that policy from your end? It would be very helpful to me.

Thank you in advance.

Dear Prajakta,

Sharing of policies or any confidential information of any company without any approval is illegal on Cite.co. Nevertheless, you can search using the Google toolbar, and I am sure you will get policies of Indian companies.

Hope you will comply with the rules and regulations of this site.
