In that case, he will be entitled to casual and sick leaves as per the State Industrial Establishment (National & Festival Holidays & Casual & Sick Leaves) Act. He will receive these leaves if he is covered under the definition of a worker/employee under this Act; otherwise, he will be granted these leaves according to the leave policy of the unit where he is employed. This opinion is provided considering the unit's coverage under the Factories Act, 1948.
