Dear HR Professionals,

Please inform me about labor laws that are necessary for HR executives in a manufacturing company.

Thank you.

Dear Hitesh,

You are also to add a list of your State Labour Laws such as the Shops Act, State Industrial Establishment (National & Festival and Casual & Sick Leaves) Act, State Labour Welfare Fund Act, etc.

Dear Hiteshtkr,

As per our Indian employment laws or labor laws, we have to refer to many Acts such as the Industrial Disputes Act, Factory Act, PF Act, ESIC Act, Gratuity Act, Payment of Wages Act, Minimum Wages Act, etc. It is an extensive field, and you need to familiarize yourself with all the above-mentioned acts based on the nature of your job.

Dear Sir,

My company has just instructed me to resign from the services without any delay. As the Regional Head of Bihar and Jharkhand for the company, I have outstanding dues of Rs 92,000 for conveyance and other expenses over the last 3 months. I have requested them to release this amount first, but they have informed me that the expenses and salary will be put on hold and will be settled together. Is this in accordance with the law?

Could you please advise me on this matter, considering that I have not yet formally submitted my resignation notice?

Regards,
Deepak

Being the Regional Head of an establishment, you may have to wait for full and final settlement. Had you been a workman, you should have been settled immediately.
