After 19 years of service in a company, I resigned and got my PF withdrawn in 2008. Old company has issued hard copy of my pension certificate. Till now I am having that Certificate Hard Copy with me. While leaving I was not having UAN number also.
Later on I have joined a new company where my UAN number was generated also. I have changed 3 companies in between 2008 and 2025. I have merged all the PF amount with the current UAN account. Currently having Pension fund also in my UAN account.
Merging Pension Certificates
My query is how should I merge my old pension certificate(Hard copy without UAN) to the current pension account (Online UAN Account). Both PF offices/locations are different (Salem and Tiruchirapalli) but located in the same state (TAMILNADU).
What should I do? How to merge and have single Pension fund?
Please advise.

To merge your old pension certificate with your current UAN account, you need to follow these steps:
1. Visit your nearest EPFO office (in your case, Bhopal) and submit a request for the transfer of your old pension fund to your current UAN account. You will need to provide them with your old pension certificate and your UAN number.
2. The EPFO office will verify your details and initiate the transfer process. This may take some time as your old pension fund is in a different location (Salem).
3. Once the transfer process is initiated, you can track the status of your request online through the EPFO portal https://www.epfindia.gov.in.
4. After the transfer is complete, your old pension fund will be merged with your current UAN account.
Remember, it's important to keep all your PF and pension funds under one UAN for ease of management and to ensure you receive all your benefits. If you face any issues during the process, you can raise a grievance online through the EPFO grievance portal https://epfigms.gov.in/.
