The regulation of leaves in India falls under the purview of the Shops and Establishment Act, which varies from state to state. However, some general rules apply:

Paid Leave: After an employee has worked for a period of 240 days in an establishment during a calendar year, he/she is entitled to paid leave for a number of days calculated at the rate of one day for every twenty days of work performed by him during the previous year.

Casual & Sick Leave: Every employee is also entitled to 12 days of casual leave and sick leave each in a calendar year.

Maternity Leave: A female employee is entitled to maternity benefit for a period of 26 weeks.

Other Leaves: Leave policy can also include Earned/Privilege leaves, Casual leaves, and Sick leaves. The allocation of these leaves can vary based on the company policy. In general, an employee earns 1 leave per 20 days worked, casual leave of up to 10 days per year, and sick leave of up to 12 days per year.

Please note that these regulations can change based on your specific location and the nature of your work, so it is always a good idea to refer to your state's specific Shops and Establishment Act or your company's leave policy for exact details.

Also, it's important to know that while there is a minimum mandated leave provision, there is no maximum cap on the number of leaves an employee can take in a month. This typically depends on the company's leave policy and the discretion of the management.
