It has been told to link UAN with ESIC, but what to do in scenarios where
1) person has only ESIC and no UAN because they are not eligible for PF due to no past PF history and a higher salary bar?
2) person has both but has only provided the firm their ESIC number?
3) person has multiple ESIC numbers?
I kindly request the learned professionals to help me understand each scenario and what actions need to be taken.

Scenario 1.
There can be persons excluded from PF but covered by ESI and vice versa. If you have employees with ESI but without PF, no issue, give reason for not having PF

Scenario 2
If employees have both, furish both numbers. What is the issue?
If you have given only ESI, then register him in PF also and generate UAN and furnish it

Scenario 3
No worker cn have multiple ESI numbers. Normally when you register a new employee the system willa aks if he is already registered. If you have answered No and registered him with different telephone number, bank account number and adhar number then take the own responsibility and correct it from the ESI Corporation. ( I don't know how does it happen when everything is linked together!)

Untold: The objective of linking the UAN with ESI Number is to know who is not given PF registration and if there is any omission. But when the law pertaining to both are different with regard to coverage, what is the purpose of such linking is known only to those who have made it!
