Modified pension 29.06.2020 As per SC's order , those employees who were covered under erstwhile Employees Family pension scheme of 1996 and retired prior to 2014 are eligible to stake their claim for modified pension and were required to apply to RPFC of relevant jurisdiction along with supporting document like summary of contributions( both employers and employee) ie. Annexure K duly certified by the employer . In fact i was one of such employees covered under erstwhile pension scheme of 1996 and got retired on October 2008 from the last employer.

During the period between 1996 and 2008 , I worked with two organisations and was in receipt of a basic salary of above Rs 1,00,00 through out these periods whereas my previous employers were confining their employers contribution to 12% of Rs 6500 per month whilst my contribution was of same quantum deducted from pay roll .In addition I was paying a voluntary contribution of 50% of my salary for these periods.

Although I met the RPFC at Chennai and handed over my application along with required supporting documents duly certified by my erstwhile employers and got an acknowledgement thereof with a serial number in the same, i have not been replied from RPFC till date. In fact i had submitted my application sometime in January 2019 . my subsequent mails /phonic calls to RPFC office proved futile. I just want to know if I am eligible for revised or modified pension based on my details as supra as per Supreme court verdict . At the moment I am not able to lay my hand on SC's orders .

Can any enlightened member of this forum throw lights to answer my query
