Is anyone facing payroll challenges? My current company manages payroll and its related compliance function in-house. There are delays every month, errors in tax computations, manual payslip generation, and PF compliance issues which are a real pain.
Are others also facing similar challenges? Is payroll a matter of concern for you, and what solutions have you implemented?

Understanding Payroll Software Challenges
Are you a developer and service provider of payroll software for various clients, or do you use software for your payroll and face challenges in running it in your establishment? Payroll software is, of course, a complicated area, but it is not going to be a nightmare or an insurmountable challenge. True, here and there, now and then, there are going to be some small corrections, updates, additions, synchronizing, etc., of software implementation. But that doesn't mean it's unmanageable. Thousands of software, either tailor-made or exclusive software developed in-house or sourced from outside, are running all over the world, as you know. If and when your 'system study' is flawless, which should have taken care of every aspect either before or during the development stage, everything could be taken care of.
Addressing Common Errors and Updates
Your experience of errors in tax computation, PF contribution, etc., are a few such aspects that should have been taken care of during development, installation, and trial run of the software. These areas are apparently required to be updated/corrected as and when changes are effected, including linking and providing a gateway to portals for uploading/online various forms and periodical returns. Similarly, in the course, corrections and updating of software from time to time are also important factors. You should thoroughly check your software to locate where you might have missed compliance, maybe like a system audit sort of thing.
