Dear HR Professionals,

Please explain to me my doubt on leave with wages as per Section 30 of the Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988.

During the probation period, if an employee leaves the organization after serving 240 days but does not complete one year of continuous service, would they be eligible for leave with wages or not?

In the scenario described, as per the Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988, an employee who leaves the organization during the probation period after serving 240 days but before completing one year of continuous service is typically not eligible for leave with wages. The entitlement to leave with wages usually starts after the completion of one year of continuous service, as per the provisions of the Act.

However, it's crucial to review the specific details outlined in the Act to ensure accurate interpretation and compliance with the law. Employers should refer to Section 30 of the Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988, for precise information regarding leave entitlements during the probation period and eligibility criteria for various benefits.

For further clarity and guidance tailored to the specific circumstances, it is advisable to consult with legal experts or professionals well-versed in labor laws to ensure adherence to statutory requirements and avoid any potential legal implications.
