If gross wages of an employee is Rs.22000 on March, he will be out of coverage from April. But if an employees gross wages becomes 20000, as he was on leave for few days then whether he will be eligible for esi or an employer have to remove his name by mentioning out of coverage

Dear Friend, Eligibility of ESIC is on monthly gross amount, So in your case employee does not falls under ESIC eligibility.
