We are travel agent operating from Ahmedabad, Gujarat having 19 employees. At present we are not having any other benefit like PF, ESI, etc. My query is that if we are paying Rs. 40,000/- to one of our staff member, how can I calculate his basic salary, conveyance and house rent allowance.

Hello there, Make 40% of basic pay from gross make 50% of HRA from basic make 50% of others from basic the rest you can add components like medical or travel which are those use for tax benifits.
