If Husband and wife are Employed in same Office and the same organization, then both are Entitled to HRA? If Family Quarters are allotted then both need Separate Quarters?

HRA is House Rent Allowance, if yours is a progressive organisation then HRA is given to both, as notionally both the spouses incur some expenses. A declaration can be taken from both the employees that each one is incurring expenses not less than the HRA amount, for record purpose. If otherwise need not pay to both. In early 80's if one was staying in a government accommodation allotted to a relative, then the employee was not entitled to HRA, progressively this rule got changed.
