dear Friend,
I am working as A HR in a small IT Co.basically into Marketing & Sales (Mumbai) .There was no HR Dept. bofre I join, I have recruited 6 candidates for Sales and Pre-Sale posts,Can anybody help me- how to introduce Performane Apprasal over here, specially for sales people?

Could you tell me, how many staffs are currently working? please make sure, if the management ask you to prepare performance appraisal?

You need to define what you like to appraise. What will be the parameters of appraisal? What will be the appraisal cycle? How appraisal scores will be rewarded? Try to make it objective and not subjective. Communicate this to all employees. If possible, have debate on this. But, before that...do you homework. Define clearly, what you want to appraise, when you want to appraise and how you want to appraise?

This is Mahesh working as HR Officer in an educational institution and mainly handling Performance Management System. See Performance is very important parameter in HR, appraising performance is a big task of any HR. it differ from industry to industry based on new technology. To introduce Performnace appraisal you should discuss the same with your management and also with your staff and better you conduct brainstroming session so that it will help you how it will be a benchmark to your company. Anyhow you may have some idea this will help to take approapriate deciision.
dear ur format has pulled me up to take ur help for my profile too. as anumitra is one to introduce hr in her company the same situation is with me also. here our maximum strenth is of electrical engineers nearly 25. tell how to make possible their performance appraisal.
