Hi, I got trained in one of the training partners of CTS in September 2018. I attended interviews in succession and got through all of them. I was promised to receive an offer letter via email in the week following the final interview, but I didn't receive it. In the next few weeks, all of my batch received their offer letters except me, which was quite shocking. When I tried to call, the vendor said, "You will be receiving it soon, we keep on updating and following up."

It's been weeks and months, but I still haven't received any mail. Even my friends have received their Date of Joining (DOJ) while I'm still waiting for my welcome email. The vendor also mentioned that my email ID may be wrong. I double-checked my email with them the next day. I don't understand why they are citing this reason, as I received my first email from the same HR. It has been months, and I am still waiting. I fear that the more they delay, the longer my joining will be delayed. I am unsure of what steps to take next. Please advise on what I should do.

Hi,

There could be many reasons for the delay in the DOJ. Maybe your background verification is pending, your profile has been put on hold due to certain criteria not being fulfilled, such as budget issues, or the reporting manager might be searching for an alternate candidate.

Kindly ask the recruitment team to be honest with you regarding the reason for the delay. If you are not going to be issued any joining letter, then please inform you now.

I wish you all the best.

Hi Pranitha,

I don't know whether you contacted them in person or only inquired orally. Probably, had you visited them and personally checked, you would have known by now. It's possible that those not selected may not receive any intimation. I could only presume, since September '18 until now is an unusually long period for anyone to wait. Are you a fresher or do you have some years of experience? I doubt someone in HR is misleading you by giving false hopes. Or probably, you are kept in the panel and if anyone selected has been issued an offer but is not joining, it might turn out to be an opportunity for you.

In the circumstances, especially considering the long wait, I feel your waiting should end now, and you should pursue other opportunities. The world is not going to end with this; you should try to improve upon your competency. Prepare well, evaluate yourself, concentrate on areas where you feel less prepared, and enhance them so that you can outperform others. Gain confidence; there is always the next opportunity. Wish you all the best.
