Hi friends, Can anyone suggest from where one can do PhD in Management through distance learning. Is there anyone here, who has done it? Pl enlighten!

hi you can pursue ur Ph d program in alagappa university, karaikudi, tamilnadu or Mother Therasa Univ. (if ur a woman).

to do phd in management u should be a MBA or M.Com and some universities insist a M.Phil too

YES U Can,
1. AIMA, New Delhi have Ph.D Programme thru Aligarh Muslim University.
2.Contact Prof Kaliamurthy of algappa University refering my Name.
3. IGNOU also introduced Ph.D Programme.
4. Many University have Ph.d Programme where you need to register and not attand any class.

I saw your post on this forum. Could you please suggest something to enroll in Phd? I want to do PhD by distance learning. I checked few university and they are asking to comeup with some Research Ideas. So just wondering is there any place, I could get some abstract or research topics.

Dear Shikha,
please see the reply I gave to shini, recently UGC revised the guidelines for M.Phil. / Ph D through correspondence, In Tamil Nadu it was restricted in 2005. NOW, you can try with IGNOU, once you have developed a Synopsis. You can also contact University in B'Luru, for Part time Ph.D. (Self Financed Candidate)with short residential requirement/sometimes waived for local residents/residing within a reasonable limit from the university to attend evening/day courses of Course Work Part of PhD.
In case where the waiver is given, join immediately, and try to finish that part as early as possible, thereafter you can continue even after transferred, since in that case you need to attend Department ONLY Twice a semester.Minimum time for Submission is 3 years, generally. WISH YOU ALL THE BEST.
