Hi All, I am Raj working as Associate in Human resource department, i would like to know how to stop employee from resignation. i know there there will be different reason for the employee to resign, But i want to know how should i approach that particular employee and convince him to stay with me.
For example: If an employee doesn't want to share the exact reason for resigning, in that case what should i be doing ?

Dear Rajkumar,
Is employee attrition problem in your company or your have raised the query out of curiosity? If employee attrition has increased then the first thing that has to be done is to do "Employee Attrition Analysis". Have you done that?
Secondly, you could have checked this forum before raising this query. Look at the right side bar and you will find the posts about attrition analysis. Earlier, I had given exhaustive reply about attrition analysis. Check the following link to refer it:

Earlier there was a report on Times of India on why employees quit their companies. Click the following link to refer it:
Bosses, not money, make staff stick to company - Times of India
Go through the above links, do the attrition analysis and come back to this forum with your action plan to contain the attrition. Last but not the least, what about your management, are they worried about employee attrition? Will you get support from them to retain employees?
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar

@Dinesh Divekar I have gone through the links which you shared, which is really useful, thanks for your valuable information sir!
First of all you should find out what is the reason for people to resign thinking for the employee's point of view. You can arrange for a meeting or distribute questionnaires or obtain feedback in written or oral from employees to come up with better solutions to benefit both of them.
@IDEALHR, Thank you sir for your suggestion.
Take business survey by giving exit interview forms which has various questionnare so that it gives you a clear picture of what is the main negative point that makes employess to resign and leave the job and compare what other competitors does to retiain their employees
