I am working in manufacturing company. I want to know about salary register. We generate salary register every month and we take signature of all employee in this register. It is mandatory to take signature in this register. because i see some company can't do this type of practice. give me the guidance regarding this.

if you issue salary slips and pay the wages by cheque or NEFT, then signature on the acknowledgement is sufficient, but if paid in cash then it is mandatory to get signed on register
