First, create a recruitment manual. Include Job Descriptions (JDs) for all positions. However, this is not sufficient. Moving forward, you need to include functional (or technical) and behavioral competencies for each position. Once this task is completed, you should devise various tests, case studies, and questions to assess each competency. Nevertheless, there might be instances where two recruiters or interviewers assign different marks for the same answer to a case study due to individual judgment creeping in. To prevent this, you must clearly define the marks to be awarded for each answer.
Achieving all the above tasks will be time-consuming and will necessitate the involvement of senior individuals from each field. While deciding on the behavioral competencies is relatively straightforward, determining the functional competencies may pose a challenge. Therefore, if you aspire for high-quality work, it may be beneficial to engage external consultants.
