Hello, I was working for 23 months with a company. Due to my employment with that company, some amount accumulated in my PF account. Then I started working in another company on 22 February 2016. I worked in the second company for three months, and due to my employment with this company, some amount accumulated in my PF account. I have quit the second job as well. I have not linked the previous PF account to the PF account of the second job.
Can I still link my first job PF with the second even when I am not a part of the second company at the moment? Should I withdraw both the PFs individually? I was told that if I withdraw the second PF, I would only get the employee share because I worked there for less than six months. Is that true? Or should I withdraw the second one and keep the first one, and later whenever I take up a job, I will link the first job PF to the new one? I was also told that I can still link my first PF with the second and then withdraw it; in this case, I will get the whole first and whole second amount. Which option is best? Please suggest.
