I recently attended an interview where the interviewer asked me about "Vendor Empanelment." I have had very little and limited exposure to this topic, so I couldn't explain it in much detail. Could you please help me understand what Vendor Empanelment is and the steps that can help make it successful?

Vendor empanelment is conducted by corporations as preparatory work before executing projects or to meet regular annual supply needs. This exercise is designed to save time for those executing the project. Vendors on the panel are also prepared to receive orders and can do their homework.
