The annual performance appraisal has become a monotonous job, and employees are not happy with the old process. Is there any new method that can be followed for a small-sized organization? Please shed some light on this.

Performance appraisal cannot be done away with. There has to be one method or another. The quest for "Performance Appraisal" has been discussed many times in this forum. Please try the Cite HR archives to study them. Type "Performance Assessment" inside the 'Search' box that you find in the title bar right above. After typing in the box, press the "Enter" key. You will get a lot of information. Repeat the process for other related topics like Performance Appraisal, KRA, Goal Setting, etc.
