When you call a person as an agent, the compensation for the services rendered by such a person can not be wages but " commission" only based on the volume of the business transacted or work done by him. The relationship being Principal and Agent, such an engagement is simply a "contract for service" and not a "contract of service" in the realm of employment and therefore it can not be brought within the fold of any Labour Law.
