Hi All, I have resigned from Company B, and when I requested my exit documents, they only gave me the appointment and experience letters from Company A and Company B, but both are on different letterheads.
The situation is as follows: I worked with Company A for around 2 years, and suddenly they closed Company A and opened Company B (with a different name). In Company B, I worked for around 2 months only. They assured us that we would receive all appointment and experience letters from both companies, but they issued them separately. When I apply for jobs in another company, they treat it as if I have resigned from Company B within a short period.
Question: Combining Experience on One Letterhead
My question is, is there any way I can get both (a total of 2 years and 2 months of experience) on one company letterhead, i.e., on Company B's letterhead as it is active in the present market? Kindly suggest to me how I can prove in the job market that I worked with stability in that organization, even though the company has provided different documents, which is not my mistake. Kindly help me out.
By the way, I wanted to highlight some points here:
1. The signing authority is the same for both.
2. There is no website for either company to this day.
Regards

Probably you can request the Company B to write that you had worked in Company A which is now closed and has become new entity Company B.

Hi Nathrao,
Thanks for your reply. Could you please share the sample format with me? I need it to make a request to the concerned HR department. I’m certain that they do not have a format because when I inquired about this issue, they mentioned they cannot provide one. So, kindly share the sample format with me so that I can discuss it directly with the HR manager.
Thank you.

Sample Format for Employment Verification
There may be no such sample format. Something like this would be good enough:
Shri worked in our company as [Position] for a period of 2.2 years from [Start Date] to [End Date]. This period includes 2 months of service in our associate company.
The employee was competent in his job and has shown good conduct throughout his period of employment. There are no dues outstanding against the employee.
You can add or amend the draft as per conditions.
