Hello All, After working for 2.5 years, I left the company in November 2013 to start on my own. On February 12, 2015, I filled and submitted (Form 19 and 10C) to the company's PF consultant (as per her guidance). Firstly, no SMS was sent by the PF office, which I expected to receive to track my EPF status. Today (March 5, 2015), all of a sudden, around 12.5K amount is credited with the message "EMPLOYEE PROVIDENT".
Last year, I downloaded the EPF passbook, which was updated until March 31, 2014, with interest. The total amount is above 1 lakh (Employee Share, Employer share, all are much greater than the credited amount, even the Pension Fund amount is higher than the above).
Could someone please suggest what can be done?
Thanks,
Sandeep Agarwal

Wait for a couple of days. Generally, there are two different amounts that get credited, one for the Provident Fund and the other for the pension. Only after you see both entries will you be in a position to judge if the amount credited to your account is less.
Good luck,

I checked the withdrawal status in the afternoon using my PF number, and it was showing "no record found." However, I tried again at 1:00 A.M., and it is now showing that the PF office has received the forms and is under process. Thank God. Though, I am not sure why the amount received is so low?

The above amount (Rs. 12,500) may be towards the Pension withdrawal benefit. If your service in EPS is 2 years and 6 months or more, the amount will be equal to 3.003 times the salary. If it is less than 2 years and 6 months, the amount will be 1.979 times the salary.

Hi Mr. Abbas, I have a query here. 3.003 of your salary will be a much bigger amount, i.e., 3 times your salary. I didn't understand this; what is the salary that is to be taken here? Please help clarify.

I withdrew my PF in February 2013 even though I left my job in November 2012. However, I received a lesser amount than expected. According to my PF passbook, it was not updated for two months—July 2012 and September 2012. There was no entry for these months even though my contributions were paid. I tried to check my account later, but it had been closed, and I couldn't download my passbook.
Is There Any Way to Claim the Remaining Amount?
Please suggest.

I received the PF amount in my account today. An SMS was sent to my mobile within 20 days after submission to the PF office by the company. Nowadays, the service has improved; one can always submit a complaint online on the EPFO site.

Similar to Sandeep, I filed for PF withdrawal in December 2015 after 2.5 years of service as I moved abroad. I just received a sum of 20k (my pension contribution is 23k), but my PF contribution (employee + employer contributions) is 3.2 lakhs. I hope I'm receiving the 3.2 lakhs soon!

Pension Withdrawal Calculation Issue
I filled out Form 10C two months after leaving my job. Below is my scenario:
Date of Joining: Oct 1, 2013
Date of Leaving: April 16, 2018
EPS Contribution Balance (per passbook) = 59,701 (541 x 11 months + 1250 x 43 months) (one month no pension was contributed, hence 43 instead of 44).
I filled Form 10C, but the amount deposited in my account is 47,373. Can you tell me how this amount was calculated? According to the pension withdrawal table, shouldn't I get 15,000 x 5.28 = 79,200, since I worked for 4.55 years, which would be rounded to a 5-year factor? If so, how do I claim the rest of the money from EPFO? Kindly advise.
