I'm Madhu, and I am in my final year of my degree. I have backlogs in my semesters, which have caused a lot of disappointment in my life. I work for a company and am studying, but I have difficulty concentrating due to family pressure, among other reasons.

Considering an MBA Through Distance Education

One of my friends suggested that I pursue an MBA through distance education from Karnataka Open University. Given the struggles I have faced in life, I had initially wanted to do my MBA through regular attendance. However, my friend made a good point about the benefits of a distance MBA. Now, I am curious to know how valuable this distance MBA certificate will be for my career. Will it be recognized by companies? I aspire to work as an HR professional in reputable companies, so I want to understand if this educational qualification will be considered valuable and transformative in my life.

Please advise me on whether I should proceed with pursuing my MBA.

It is quite unfortunate that companies filter applicants who have obtained the requisite educational qualifications through distance learning programs at the screening level itself. There is no guarantee of a better job. However, you can pursue the course seriously to improve your knowledge.

Thank you.
