Dear senior Please let me know Contract workers are entitled to raise Industrial Dispute against their Principal Employer and whether standing order apply to contract workers ?

Dear friend,
Generally, Contract workmen are not entitled to raise an industrial dispute against the Principal Employer.However, in special circumstances like demand for the eventual absorption of Contract Labour engaged in operations which stand subsequently abolished u/s 10, dispute can be raised but should have been espoused by the regular workmen.
Standing Orders of an industrial establishment is not applicable to the contract labour engaged therein.
