Challenges in Managing Global Locations
Recently, we acquired a global company that owns manufacturing plants in five countries. Due to this acquisition, I am facing challenges in establishing administrative and MIS controls in remote locations. I have no prior experience managing global locations, so I would greatly appreciate your valuable guidance. Please share strategies for MIS and management control if you can!
Thanks & Regards,

Managing MIS for geographically located offices is easy with good software. How far is your firm ready to invest? Please research the ones that are available and find the one that suits best. An Excel sheet wouldn't be manageable as the firm integrates all the offices and the strength grows.

Business control is managed through software, but for people control, bridging cultural gaps, creating uniformity across all locations, and raising awareness about local nuances, I need help in formulating an execution strategy.

Your response is appreciated. I understand that you want to add value. Please note:
Company Background and Current Challenges
We are an Indian company that acquired an Italian MNC. Our owners are vegetarian, but in our Italian plant, they cook beef in the company canteen kitchen.
We have other plants in China, Germany, and Turkey. Language is a significant issue in all these countries. As of now, we have not developed any control in these places.
Steps to Develop a Systematic Integration Program
I want to develop a step-by-step systematic integration program from an HR perspective to provide a sense of uniformity and integrity throughout the organization's HR processes.

Rakesh

Software is a good starting point for implementing controls in acquired companies through corporate policies. However, it is important to be aware that change management and cultural differences can present significant challenges, and rushing the process may result in decreased productivity.
