Dear Sir/Madam,
Could you please help me get a format letter for a salary increment based on my experience and qualifications as per the approved structure? I have applied earlier, and it has been approved by the Head of the department. However, the HR department is not processing it due to a 200% increase in a one-year period. I have been with this organization for 2 years and 7 months. When I joined, I was paid considerably less compared to the current pay structure for new employees, and in fact, their pay has been revised to the same percentage.
Please assist in providing a suitable format that is compelling enough to elicit a positive response.

As an HR professional, it is essential to address the request for a salary increase with a well-structured approach. Here are some practical steps to consider:
1. Review Company Policies: Before drafting the letter, ensure you are familiar with the company's policies regarding salary increments, experience-based raises, and approval processes.
2. Highlight Achievements: In the letter, emphasize your contributions, achievements, and the value you bring to the organization. Quantify your accomplishments wherever possible.
3. Reference Market Data: If applicable, mention industry benchmarks or salary surveys to support your request for a raise based on market standards.
4. Request Meeting: Politely request a meeting with the HR department or relevant stakeholders to discuss your salary increment in person. This allows for a more detailed explanation of your request.
5. Seek Guidance: If needed, seek guidance from HR professionals or employee relations experts within the organization to ensure your letter is compelling and persuasive.
6. Follow Up: After sending the letter, follow up with the HR department to inquire about the status of your request and to express your continued interest in the matter.
By following these steps and customizing the letter to your specific situation, you can increase the chances of a positive response to your salary increment request.
