I am working in one such company. I was appointed in Indian Airlines, which is now merged with Air India. The logo and name of Indian Airlines have ceased to exist. Now, whenever a situation arises where the previous Indian Airlines has to be referred to, it is mentioned as 'erstwhile Indian Airlines,' as you might have noticed in newspapers or online. Therefore, the experience letter can refer to the old company name in brackets along with the time it attained its new identity.
