My friend resigned on Apr 2nd.May 2nd is the last working day.His form was submitted on 13th July 2012(60 days from relieving date as said by HR).Hr people are telling the time period for crediting PF into account is still 60 to 90 days.He asked them to credit at an earlier date.they are answering like we are doing free service to the ex-employees by looking into the PF matter.actually the employees should look after their PF withdrawal issue on their own.is it true?.but one thing here is that they are making it late.also Hr people are saying that the PF officials are in a confusion about Annexure K.he didnt get a job till now.As they are saying, does annexure K come into picture in this context.I heard that Annexure K is necessary for transfer of PF funds from one account to another new account.Also in EPFindia site if he trying to know the status of his PF application, its showing "your application is rejected and it is being sent to the address mentioned by you".

is it mandatory for the HR people to look into PF of the Ex employees.if so please quote a text citing this in PF act.

also pls enlighten me on the above doubts..

Claim should be settled with 30 days from the date of receipt of claim .
Work of Employer is to file claim form, rest is job of PF officials. You just ask acknowledgement of filed claim form.
If claim form has been rejected then it is going to employer again. You have to approach again to employer and get it rectified whatever correction or discrepancies are there.
To get claim work done is not part of HR job, they are responsible for filling claim form and if discrepancies are there then get it rectified.
somani ji thanks for shedding light on my doubts.Hr people saying that even submitting is also not their responsibility.They informed my friend that they submitted the application form on 13th july.I think they didnt.
My friend got 3 sms today as follows:
BZ-EPFO
1.PF Settlement Claim ID: APHYD120700023959 Member Account No APHYD00639480000000518 has been rejected.Rejection letter is under dispatch.
2.Form 10C(Withdrawal Benefit/Scheme certificate) for acct APHYD00639590000000519 recd on 05.09.2012 and Claim ID APHYD120500007156 is under process.
3.Claim form 19 for PF settlement for member acct no APHYD00639590000000519 received on 05.09.2012 and Claim ID APHYD120500007154 is under process.
what does these mean.please explain in brief.what is the first sms.does PF application is rejected?
so we can conclude that his ex-employers have submitted his forms on 5th of Sep(yesterday)?.
when can he get his PF amount credited to his bank account.
