Can anyone tell me about the compliance practices followed by any brand?

Recently, during an interview, I was asked if I have any experience with compliance in the context of any brand. I'm a bit confused because I believe all compliance is governed by specific acts. Could someone please help clarify this for me?

Compliance in the Garment Manufacturing Industry

Companies seeking orders from Walmart must adhere to these standards. Walmart appoints its own compliance auditors who conduct audits of the firms to ensure compliance. These standards ultimately benefit the employees by ensuring better working conditions and other employee benefits.

I agree with the above statement of Mr. Jeevarathnam because some particular buyers in the textile industry like Walmart, Gap, Esprit, AEO, and Kohl's have formed their own code of conduct to execute their principles in the facility.

Compliance can be categorized into two parts:

1. Based on existing labor laws in the organization: Each organization should follow the rules and regulations according to the laws.
2. Based on buyers (brands): It's a very important tool for business. These rules, regulations, and codes of conduct are made by the customer, so most organizations will work based on buyers' requirements.
