The Importance of Employee ID Cards

ID card: The meaning itself is the identity of an employee of a particular firm/organization/industry. It will create discipline on the premises. The card will display details of the employee, such as name, department, employment number, blood group, ESI, PF numbers, etc. Additionally, it can be used as an attendance swiping card. What more do you expect from the ID card?

In addition to the advantages given by Mr. K. Rangaraju, I would like to add one more point. If your employee has late-night work or any other late-night commitment, and they are questioned by the police on their way back home, this Identity Card can serve as a means to prove their status as your employee. It is likely that the police will not harass them.

I hope these points will assist you in persuading your management to begin issuing identity cards to the employees.

Besides all the points mentioned above, I would like to add one more important and vital usage of ID cards. Many road accident victims are identified with their ID cards. Please ensure blood group with Rh factor and any medicine allergies details are included with all ID card data. Many lives are saved with this data during the golden minutes following an accident.

I hope all of you are aware that India is ranked as the number one country in terms of loss of lives in road accidents. In the year 2011, we lost 130,000 valuable lives on the road.
