My wife is a Temporary Nursery teacher at D.A.V Organisation. She has been offered a contract for 9 months. It is her 2nd continuous year at D.A.V. During the remaining period, she was offered an extension and no payment for summer vacations. P.F. is also deducted from her salary, but according to the statement of P.F. as released from their office, the employee share is Rs.600, whereas the MG share is Rs.184. Kindly guide in this matter.

Also, is she eligible for Maternity Benefits?

What was done to her employment at the beginning of the vacation? Was it continued without pay for the vacation, or were her services terminated at the beginning of the vacation and was she reappointed at the beginning of the academic year?

Appointment and Contract Details

Her first letter stated an appointment for the post of teacher, effective from 20/6/10 to 31/3/2011. She received some letters: all teachers were given a single letter listing all their names and asking whether they were willing to continue for the next session. She continued and received a salary for the intermediate period. Again, interviews were held with the same letter provided.

1. Am I correct in presuming that she was paid a salary for the period beyond 31-3-2011, even though the appointment was only until 31-3-2011?
2. What was the content of the single letter given to her?
3. What was the content of the letter referred to in the last sentence of your post? Was this an individual letter or a single letter with the names of many?
4. What was the content of the letter first given to her?
