Dear Moderators, what is happening in CiteHR? More jokes and humor instead of replies to queries/questions? It seems that most of today's posts contain jokes. Please take action to maintain CiteHR for HR-related discussions only.

There is just one section for humor and jokes; the rest of the sections of this forum are for knowledge sharing. Check out the Human Resource section, and you can find many new posts every day that require replies and help from all of us. It is so good to see the knowledge base of members here. I feel a little humor is also required.

Hi Hemant, I hope you are enjoying the benefits of this community. I don't think that you are new to this community. I too experienced the same as I could not figure out that there are various forums in this community. I agree the HUMOR forum is very funny, jovial, and euphoric, which defines their HUMOR LEVELS. Let them enjoy their life and you enjoy yours as we are all unique.

My aim is to enhance my knowledge base and motivate people in the right direction. This is my perception as well.

Motivation and Connection in the Community

Let me show you the best part of this community. I am giving you an example of MOTIVATION and how people GOT CONNECTED TO EACH OTHER, how they responded to a single call. Maybe a few had reacted out of enthusiasm, and you may also find a few from the humor forum: link to citehr article.

I AM SURE THIS WILL BENEFIT YOU MORE THAN YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND YOU WILL PRAISE THIS COMMUNITY.

GOOD LUCK.

HAPPY LEARNING.

With profound regards.

Hi Hemanth, I agree with your point! At the same time, you can find many knowledge-sharing articles that are very useful. Ignore the unwanted comments and jokes if you don't require them; that will be great!

Dear Ms. Saswata Banerjee,

We can only educate people, but we can't change them. I am giving you the BEST EXAMPLE from my experience. I am working for a BIG GROUP where we have 70,000 employees spread across the GCC (Gulf Co-operative Council), SRI LANKA, YEMEN, and INDIA. We know how many difficulties we face in training our staff with decades of experience. TOO MANY RESTRICTIONS WILL CREATE TOO MANY PROBLEMS. SYSTEMATIC PROCEDURES CAN BE IMPLEMENTED by making necessary modifications to this website. However, we can't expect everyone to be MATURE, SMART, TALENTED, PERFECT (everyone is striving hard to become perfect... it's a very long process), etc., the way we are. IT TAKES TIME FOR EVERYONE TO LEARN SOMETHING... CERTAIN THINGS CANNOT BE CHANGED AT ALL. WE ONLY NEED TO CHANGE OURSELVES...

With profound regards.

The Importance of Discipline in Online Forums

All worthwhile online forums work effectively only if discipline can be imposed to prevent people from disrupting threads or posting incorrectly. Otherwise, people will not find it worthwhile to spend time on the site. It does not happen overnight but over a period. I have seen it happen to other sites as well.

Of course, I do not know whether CiteHR has permanent manpower to enforce things or how long volunteer moderators will bother, etc. I am hoping that they will be able to introduce further discipline, which is why I made the post.

By the way, just using capitals does not convince anyone that you are right or make for better reading.
