1. "Environmental factors play an important role in the formulation of an effective business policy." Discuss.
2. Using the value chain approach, explain how Tata has attained a competitive advantage. You can choose any Tata group company.
3. What is a combination strategy? Why do companies adopt such a strategy? Examine the case of any Indian company following this strategy. Explain.
Subject: WAGES AND SALARY ADMINISTRATION
1. Examine and prepare a theoretical paper justifying that compensation is a motivator, not just a satisfying factor.
2. Critically analyze and assess the impact of cross-cultural and inter-country compensation-related impediments in shifting from the USA to India.
3. When all employees are paid fundamentally the same amount of compensation, what is the likely impact on satisfaction and behavior? What effect would a secrecy-of-pay policy have on the situation?
