I worked in a private Co. for 11 yrs. Withdrew PF and Scheme Certificate for Pension still have to be issued by the department as my Application for same had some discrepancy. Now I am working in some other Co for the last 5 yrs. Can my length of service added with that 11 yrs. Is there any benefit getting it added. What is the procedure if I prefer attach current pension deduction with my old account of pension.
In case I complete another 10 yrs in new Co. also, would I get two separate pensions ? Or this will be spoiled ?

Dear Mr. Das,
You can very well add your previous company pension to the present company, All you need to do is, get the PF number form your previous company & give it to the present company HR and ask them to merge it.
You can also do it for all your companies

Dear Mr.Das,

PF withdrawal is independant of Pension scheme.

If you have submitted Form 10C which is for Pension account please verify whether you have opted for Scheme certificate. The scheme certificate will contain your last drawn wages in the previous establishment and the number of years of your service in the organisation.

Once you receive the scheme certificate please preserve the same and submit it at the time of your superannuation when you will submit the form for settlement of your Pension account. At that point the EPF office will consider the service rendered by you in the scheme certificate alongwith the service rendered by you thereafter.

There are also instances wherein the employee will join an organisation which does not have a PF coverage subsequently and then join a PF covered establishment later. In such a case the service indicated in the scheme certificate will still be considered valid though there is a brief discontinuity in your service.

Trust the matter is clarified. In short the past service will be taken into account while computing your pension at the time of your superannuation.

Dear A.K.Das, EPF will not provide two pensions to a member. Also it will not review the pension once released, unless due to error from EPFO. Abbas.P.S

Dear Das
You can add up your 11 years EPF deducted in your previous company by filling the form 13 alongwith your Previous company's service certificate with Old PF No. (Transfer of PF Form) and submit the same through your new employer. If you do so your old PF and New PF will be merged together and you will get a handsome Pension at your old age.
With warm regards

Dear Das,
PF withdrawal is independant of Pension scheme.
If you have submitted Form 10C which is for Pension account you will be receving Scheme certificate ( Because more than 10 years service PF office will issue the scheme certificate ) & after reciving scheme certificate please submit a photcopy to your present employer for information ( you can see the it is written on scheme certificate also ) and later please preserve the same and submit it at the time of your retirement when you will submit the form for settlement of your Pension account. At that point the EPF office will consider the service rendered by you in the scheme certificate alongwith the service rendered by you thereafter.

Dear Madhu,
10 years' service is immaterial in case of scheme certificate. Those having one day service in EPS are eligible to get scheme certificate. The only condition is that he should not attain an age of 58 years.
10 years is required for pension only.
