Notification of Revised ESI Limit
Dear all, the ESI revised limit has been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000/- with effect from 01.05.2010. Please note the notification for the revised limit of Rs. 15,000/- for ESIC, applicable from 1st May 2010, under the ESI Act 1948. This is in accordance with Notification # GSR 164 (E), dated 20th April 2010.
The Ministry of Labour and Employment issued Notification No. G.S.R. 164 (E) dated 20 April 2010, amending the Employees' State Insurance (Central) Rules 1950. This amendment enhances the wage ceiling for coverage under the ESI Act 1948 from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 15,000/- with effect from 1st May 2010. A copy of the notification issued by the Ministry of Labour is attached for your information and implementation as required.
