Hello Ramesh. Training Programs can be arranged in a number of ways. The fist question is, “In what areas do your employees need training?” They may need training in one or more the following skill groups:

-management, leadership and supervision skills

-soft skills, such as communication and conflict resolution

-environment, health and safety

-human resource processes, such as performance management

-business skills, such as strategy, planning and process improvement

-technical line and staff skills such as telephone etiquette and inventory management

Next, to find out more precisely which skills are lacking, you can either review the last performance appraisals of each employee, investigate company needs at a macro or project level, or, lastly, develop a recurring calendar of programs, I discuss each of these approaches on our training needs analysis webpage at Training Needs Analysis | TNA

Whatever you do, work closely with managers to ensure that the chosen training programs hit the mark.

Ramesh,

I do not know what your training needs are but I recommend not putting employees through training unless their is a business need that requires it, for example compliance training. If there is no business need, don't waste your time or your money.

Before implementing any training program, I have a few recommendations (which you may have already done, but was not evident in your communication) -

1. Identify the business need - is it in alignment with the strategic plan of the organization?

2. Conduct a needs analysis to identify the competencies and skills for each position

3. Do a gap analysis to identify the gap between current knowlwedge and skills and desired knowledge and skills

4. Define the objectives and identify how results will be measured against those objectives

5. Design and implement training to address the identified gap - make sure the training is learner-led (learning is facilitated through highly interactive activities relevant to their responsibilities)

Once you have a clear picture of exactly what you need and why you need it, then either design in-house or seek an outside vendor.

Good luck!

Hi Ramesh,

We are an NLP based training and coaching consultancy based out of Mumbai and have operations in Bangalore.

I am assuming that you are well aware of Neuro Linguistic Programming as you are into training and development. If not, we can provide you with information on NLP. NLP is the most powerful and advanced tool available today which is capable of developing the desired skills and behavior within individuals. The skills learnt by them is not on the superficial/conscious level only, but penetrates deep within the unconscious level, which enable them to produce the required skills, attitudes and behavior with ease and without conscious struggle. They become a part of his being. We call it "em-bodying". Through the tools and techniques along with the approach of NLP the desired skills and qualities can be em-bodied in people. Hence they perform naturally, and do not need to act artificially, causing pain and frustration in long run.

I would suggest you try and use development through NLP.

We can help you do so it you are interested.

Please get in touch with us to know more about the power of NLP in transforming human life.

Thanks and all the best.

Hi Ramesh,
Just to mention, you can try out NLP first hand if you wish by attending one of our workshops. We are conducting one on Saturday 26 September, 2009, in Mumbai, which will deal with "Developing Self Motivating Skills through NLP".
Once you see it yourself, you will have a clear understanding of the realistic transforming power of NLP. It actually restructures the human brain (Neuro) architecture to produce whatever you want.
Details are here: http://www.tekton.co.in/nlp_self_mot...n.brochure.pdf
Thanks
