Is there some place where i can get details about the average salary structure for various industries.
Also i would like to know how much the recruitment companies get paid for each job placement. Is it a fixed amount or a percentage? please let me know.

Hi,
Recruitment companies charge comission for each job placement.Now this can be a percentage or a fixed amount according to the contract. Mostly the percentage is 8.33% which is nearly about one month's salary.

hey thanks...i really am not sure how the HR works...but is it that each organisation has contact with a few recruitment companies? and are they ready to work with any recruitment company which is able to provide them with the needed people?

Major big companies have tie ups with HR consultants.
About the payment to be paid for the consultants, it depends on the years of expeience the recruited candidate has. If he has less than yrs, it is around %, 5 to 8 yrs, 10% of CTC, above 8 yrs, 12% of CTC.
